Sonia Ashford, known as “The Medicare Insurance Lady,” has assisted Medicare-eligible individuals in Texas with their Medicare insurance needs since 2005. She has been married to John Ashford since 1982, and they reside in Bedford, Texas. Together, they have six adult children and ten grandchildren.

Sonia owns and operates a Medicare insurance office, Ashford Insurance Group, in Hurst, Texas. Founded in 2018 we have been assisting seniors all over Texas ever since.

Now Sonia is spearheading Shala Holdings Group, our Mergers and Acquisitions business.

Before entering the Mergers and Acquisitions field, John Ashford worked in the Medicare Insurance arena after retiring from the automotive dealer service industry which he navigated for 26 years. His roles included Porter, Quality Control Driver, Dispatcher, Booker, Technician, Service Advisor, Service Drive Manager, Assistant Service Manager, and Service Manager.

Sarah Ashford began her career in the healthcare industry in 2001, working for many years with elderly Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. She later served as a Group Benefits Administrator in the Human Resources Department of a Texas healthcare company for 10 years. Sarah has since joined the family business in the Texas insurance industry and now Mergers and Acquisitions.
